Neumann Condenser Microphones

Neumann Condenser Microphones

Neumann has set the standard for studio microphones for decades. Their condenser microphones have consistently been the “go to” mics in recording studios all over the world. The Neumann U87 large diaphragm condenser microphone has become almost synonymous with what a recording microphone should sound like.

Neumann small capsule condenser microphones such as the KM 180 Series are very popular for both studio and stage applications. Its transparent sound makes the KM 184 a superb microphone for acoustic instruments, such as piano, percussion, drums, acoustic guitar, upright bass, violin, cello, woodwinds, and brass.

In recent years, Neumann has manufactured a range of microphones for smaller home studios and project studios. These mics are lower in cost, but retain the famous Neumann sound and manufacturing quality. The Neumann TLM 102 and Neumann TLM 103 have become industry standards for home studios.

Radio broadcasters have not been forgotten either. The Neumann BCM104 side-address large diaphragm microphone has been specifically designed for radio announcers and DJ’s.

Neumann KMS 104 and Neumann KMS 105 handheld condenser microphones have become the standards by which other stage vocalist mics are judged. They cover both cardioid and supercardioid polar patterns and have excellent frequency response for stage vocalists.

Neumann Recording Studio Monitors

Musiclab stocks three models from the Neumann range of recording studio monitors. These range from the Neumann KH 80 near field monitor which is designed for small spaces such as OB vans and computer workstations. The slightly larger Neumann KH 120 is popular in home studios and small production workspaces. The 3-way Neumann KH 310A is still designed as a nearfiled monitor, it offers extended bass response.
